Conference Overview

CME-Certified Symposium

Friday Satellite Symposium on Clinical Conundrums in Lymphoma: Management of Aggressive Lymphomas preceding the 51st ASH Annual Meeting

The purpose of the Clinical Conundrums in Lymphoma: Management of Aggressive Lymphoma satellite symposium is to provide practicing community oncologists and hematologists with a practical overview for optimal management of clinically challenging aggressive lymphomas. The format of this program is designed to assess the practical applicability of evolving strategies and clinical trial findings in aggressive lymphomas using case-based discussions. The efficacy and safety information will be integrated into a patient management activity structured around the presentation of challenging cases in each malignancy. Experts will discuss each case in the context of available data, with the goal of defining an optimal treatment plan for each patient subtype. This unique and dynamic program design seeks to improve patient care by facilitating the immediate integration of current data into improved treatment options for routine and difficult clinical scenarios in each disease setting.

This educational program is directed primarily toward medical oncologists and hematologists specializing in hematologic malignancies. Nurses, fellows and pharmacists who are interested in this area are also welcome to attend.

At the conclusion of this symposium, you should be able to:

  • Discuss current treatment options for patients with aggressive lymphoma, including mantle cell lymphoma, T-cell lymphoma, transformed lymphoma, and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, in both first-line and relapsed/refractory settings
  • Describe emerging treatment strategies for patients with mantle cell lymphoma, T-cell lymphoma, transformed lymphoma, and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma
  • Apply data from clinical trials to determine the optimal course of therapy in defined patient populations
