CME-Certified Symposium
This activity is presented by Physicians’ Education Resource in conjunction with National Comprehensive Cancer Network
The Sixth Annual Symposium on the Future of Lung Cancer is an educational and scientific meeting designed to provide state-of-the-art information on the management of patients with non–small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In partnership with the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), this program will outline the state-of-the-art approaches to locally advanced and metastatic NSCLC. In addition, expert faculty will describe the impact of tumor histology on choice of therapy, explore controversies such as the timing of maintenance therapy, and discuss the optimal application of inhibitors of angiogenesis and the EGFR pathway. The next generation of targeted agents, including inhibitors of EML4-ALK, IGF-1R, HDACs, HSP90, and mTOR will be introduced. As targeted agents become established in the metastatic setting, much effort will be made to use these agents to benefit patients with earlier stages of disease, including locally advanced NSCLC. Finally, surgical approaches to resectable stage III NSCLC will be explored. This program will include didactic lectures, debates, expert discussion panels, and ample time to interact with the faculty. Attendees will receive the benefit of learning about NCCN state-of-the-art approaches as well as emerging strategies for lung cancer treatment.
