The Fifth Annual Symposium on Controversies and Clinical Challenges in Myeloma, Lymphoma, and Leukemia is designed to update practicing medical oncologists and hematologists on recent advances in the treatment and management of lymphoma, myeloma, leukemia, and other hematologic malignancies. Controversies in the management of these diseases will be discussed in the form of didactic lectures with panel discussions as well as case-based discussions with interactive response system capabilities. Emphasis will be placed on discussion of current issues in the treatment of hematologic malignancies in a practical context, focusing on conveying the key findings from recent meetings that will most directly impact physician practice. Case discussions and patient management will be highlighted, providing a forum in which to discuss and debate the controversies surrounding and the clinical applicability of evolving clinical trial findings.
