Continuing Education Information

Physicians: Physicians’ Education Resource is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Physicians’ Education Resource designates this educational activity for a maximum of 24.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Physician Assistants: AAPA accepts category 1 credit from AOACCME, Prescribed credit from AAFP, and AMA category 1 CME credit for the PRA from organizations accredited by the ACCME.

Registered Nurses: The California Board of Registered Nursing accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™ toward license renewal. On the BRN license renewal form, report the number of hours you attended (up to 24.5 hours of credit) and fill in “CME Category 1” for the provider number.

California AB 1195: This activity complies with California Assembly Bill 1195, signed November 2005, requiring continuing medical education courses with patient care components to include curricula in the subject of cultural and linguistic competency. The planners, speakers and authors of this CME activity have been encouraged to address issues relevant in their topic area.

It is suggested that you attend this event  with your laptop, if possible. Power will be available on-site for your laptop,  although Internet access will not be provided.
