IOL Overview & Purpose

The understanding of the pathobiology of and treatment options for CLL is rapidly evolving, with new treatments and improvements on existing therapies continuously emerging. However, a critical need to improve survival in CLL still remains because transplantation is the only potential for cure, and most treatment guidelines are based on level 2 data. This sets the stage for Integrated Oncology Learning: A Focus on Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia to apprise clinicians of advances in diagnostic and prognostic tools and potential applications for new treatments. Moreover, the complexity of data and rapid generation of information dictate a need for continual learning with varied formats and the opportunity for interaction.
