Several recent developments have the potential to change the management of patients with thoracic malignancies. Numerous recent phase III trials in non–small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) have investigated ways to improve frontline therapy for patients with advanced/metastatic disease, including the use of maintenance therapy. In patients with locally advanced head and neck cancer, induction chemotherapy has been explored. This Integrated Oncology Learning module will apprise clinicians of advances in optimizing therapy for patients with thoracic malignancies and will meet the need for continual learning with varied formats and the opportunity for interaction.
