This on-demand Webcast is from a satellite symposium held in conjunction with the Fifth Annual Symposium on Controversies and Clinical Challenges in Myeloma, Lymphoma, and Leukemia Congress held on September 20, 2008, in Phoenix, AZ.
The Difficult Cases in CML Management: How the Experts Treat Patients With CML is designed to update physicians on challenging and practical issues in the treatment of CML and apprise them of the current recommendations for the optimal monitoring and management of patients with CML. Case discussions will address new therapeutic options in CML and treatment recommendations for patients with all phases of this disease as well as those with resistance or intolerance to first- and second-line options. Audience-submitted cases will be discussed in order to solve “real-world” problems, facilitating the transfer of knowledge into clinical practice. This symposium will provide a unique opportunity for the participants to directly interact with experts in the field.
This educational program is directed toward medical oncologists and hematologists. Nurses, fellows, and pharmacists in the oncology field who are interested in the treatment of cancer are also invited to participate. No specific skills or knowledge other than a basic training in oncology is required for successful participartion in this activity.
