Expert Interviews in Lung Cancer: Optimizing Current Approaches to the Treatment of NSCLC
Release Date: March 5, 2009|
Expiration Date: March 5, 2010
Mar 5, 2009, Expert Interviews
For decades, little progress was observed in the treatment of advanced non–small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). More recently, the development of improved chemotherapeutic agents and targeted agents has provided effective treatment choices. Additionally, new approaches to administering chemotherapy, including maintenance following completion of a frontline doublet, have the potential to prolong responses and survival in patients with advanced NSCLC.
The purpose of this activity is to inform physicians of novel cytotoxic and targeted approaches to the treatment of lung cancer.
This educational activity is intended for medical oncologists involved in the care of patients with lung cancer. No specific skills or knowledge other than a basic training in oncology is required for successful participation in this activity.
