Exploiting the Biology of Renal Cell Carcinoma: From the Laboratory to Practice provides a comprehensive review of current therapeutic standards for advanced/metastatic kidney cancer and an in-depth examination of evolving treatment approaches to the clinical management of this patient population in the era of targeted therapy. In particular, issues important for formulating individualized and optimized patient therapy will be addressed, including the comparative advantages and disadvantages of different agents in different patient subpopulations, the optimal sequencing of targeted therapies, the safety and efficacy of combination therapies, and the potential impact of new agents entering the clinic on existing treatment strategies. This program will feature exciting information on the biologic underpinnings of newer therapies in order to engage the audience in the theme of “from the laboratory to practice.” Case-based clinical scenarios will provide context for interpreting and evaluating the presented data as well as reinforcing the information through its application
