The Medical Writer provides content for Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities including, print, online and live meetings as well as non-CME publications such as peer-reviewed journals and direct-to-patient magazines.
The Medical Writer provides content for Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities including, print, online and live meetings as well as non-CME publications such as peer-reviewed journals and direct-to-patient magazines. This is a unique opportunity to apply your years of science training to an alternative career. You will interface with key thought leaders in the oncology community and your work will make a direct impact in the dissemination of cutting-edge information.
Functions include:
1. Research and evaluate current medical and scientific literature.
2. Develop content to meet internal customer requirements and requests including but not limited to:
a. Needs assessments for grant proposals;
b. Educational objectives and agendas for CME meetings;
c. Articles for newsletters and journals;
d. Slide kits;
e. CME documentation.
3. Work collaboratively with thought leaders, program chairs, consulting faculty and supporters as necessary for content development.
4. Attend PER and other relevant scientific meetings.
5. Review articles and slide sets submitted by faculty for scientific accuracy.
6. Meet established production timelines regularly and consistently.
7. Provide data necessary for departmental reporting activities including regular status reports as established by Director.
8. Assist in training new Medical Writers as requested.
Candidate must have a Ph.D. in a scientific discipline and ideally have 2 years of medical or scientific writing experience.

Sales Operations Representative

Summary Description: Primary responsibilities are sales support for three Senior Account Directors for submission of educational grant requests, creation of customer service reports, and assistance with all needs related to the sale of enduring materials.
Essential Functions
• Online grant submissions for enduring materials
• Updating database for enduring materials
• Creation of regular customer service reports for Sr. Account Directors
• Working with finance and Sr. Account Directors to log and reconcile enduring materials
• Provide regular, ongoing reports to management
• Creating and maintaining newsletter metrics
o Maintain monthly online metrics for cancerlearning.com
• Assist with preparation for sales trips
o Create binders, updates, marketing fliers, etc
• Pull appropriate publications for sales calls
• Travel to association meetings and other PER meetings
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree
• 3+ years of sales/marketing support experience
• Previous experience with RFP process
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Superior customer service skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
