Physicians' Education Resource (PER) is dedicated to promoting excellence in the delivery of patient care by providing quality educational opportunities. With an emphasis on oncology, our goal is to maintain and improve the competence and performance of multidisciplinary health care teams through effective continuing medical education.
PER maintains complete responsibility and control over all content, quality, and scientific integrity of its activities and plans them in accordance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC COA), and Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) Standards for Commercial Support.
Physicians' Education Resource is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Physicians' Education Resource is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
Physicians' Education Resource is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a Provider of continuing pharmacy education.
It is the policy of Physicians' Education Resource (PER) to ensure balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor in all of its educational activities.
In accordance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC COA) and Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), PER requires everyone who is in a position to control the content of an educational activity, including spouses/partners, to disclose all relevant financial relationships with any commercial interest. PER has implemented a mechanism to identify and resolve all conflicts of interest prior to the activity.
Participants are notified prior to the activity of any relationship or absence of a relationship between faculty and commercial interests. Information disclosed includes the name of the faculty, the nature of the affiliation or financial interest, and the name of the company/organization with which the relationship exists. Additionally, prior to the start of an activity PER discloses the commercial support to the participants.
Physicians' Education Resource (PER) makes reasonable efforts to ensure that privacy issues are handled responsibly.
